Rdwc water pump vibration

Havent had a chance to try the washingmachine mat yet, they sent thicker 8mm rubber which i'm worried will raise the pot too high and cause a leak, also thinking about cutting my flexible return line and running the pup outside the bucket and feeding back in the top. 

I'll do a res change in the next few days and have a play about with it

you will probably find that the pump is noisier outside the res than it would be in it. the water muffles a lot of the sound

My room isnt very quiet tbh, ive got 2 airpumos hanging that are still quite noisy, ive got an s&p extraction fan supposed to be silent but i can hear it in the room next door with acoustic ducting and an inline silencer, its not so much the noise but the vibration passing through the bucket, carpet and through the floorboards, theres a constant dull humm you can hear downstairs, drives me nuts, especially in the evening.

try putting a sponge under the pump, it sometimes helps. 

just zip tie itto the bottom of the pump, it might help

if you do this it will need rinsed in clean water every res change as they are a magnet for pathogens

Chains transfer less sound with the energy loss in the links. Worked with the mates suspended airpumps. Ratchets and bungees were noisier

Did you get it fixed? I had the same problem with a 32kg compressor transferring vibrational noise into the upstairs floorboards
