Dsmile
Havent had a chance to try the washingmachine mat yet, they sent thicker 8mm rubber which i'm worried will raise the pot too high and cause a leak, also thinking about cutting my flexible return line and running the pup outside the bucket and feeding back in the top. I'll do a res change in the next few days and have a play about with it Edited January 14, 2021 by Dsmile
badbillybob
you will probably find that the pump is noisier outside the res than it would be in it. the water muffles a lot of the sound

badbillybob
try putting a sponge under the pump, it sometimes helps. just zip tie itto the bottom of the pump, it might help if you do this it will need rinsed in clean water every res change as they are a magnet for pathogens
Guest
Chains transfer less sound with the energy loss in the links. Worked with the mates suspended airpumps. Ratchets and bungees were noisier

Did you get it fixed? I had the same problem with a 32kg compressor transferring vibrational noise into the upstairs floorboards
