@Geoff if I'm not mistaken this will be the first completed Purple Matcha grow on any forum I moderate  ;)

Still a few weeks away (4+) but you look in splendid shape :headbang:

Looking good in here

Kind regards :bong:

Mark..

Thanks, yes all good. The Purple Matcha is coming along nicely. No messing.

This is "The New" at 45 days flowering. All 3 look quite similar at the moment. No purple colours yet to the naked eye ...

large.DSC_1893.png

This is San Bacio Gelato #1 ...

... this is the plant that is lighting up the grow.

Stunning creamy white pistils, Open structure so the buds shine out.

large.DSC_1891_2.png

This is San Bacio Gelato #2 ...

She´s like the ugly duckling  ... what´s that funny little plant next to the pretty one?

Actually she´s changed over the last few days with more pistils coming through the leaves.

There is a Swan Bacio Gelato in there somewhere ... sorry.

But people we have a winner ... every room should have one ... "an attention seeking princess".

Spotlight on that bud.

Hi all ..

Beautiful day here in Spain .. a little cooler at 30C with a breeze ... nice.

I took San Bacio Gelato #1 onto the terrace to get some shots in natural light.

San Bacio Gelato #1 - 45 days flowering

large.san_bacio_gelato_.png

She was vegged for 28 days. Has 8 colas. Nice open shape. She stretched a little between nodes.

large.san_bacio_gelato_12.pnglarge.san_bacio_gelato_13.pnglarge.san_bacio_gelato_1.png

This is San Bacio Gelato #2 aka "Ugly Duckling".

She didn´t stretch much at all. She´s a very dark matte green with wide sugar leaves, they look like mint. No pretty orange pistils yet. Stacked with buds tightly packed down the stems.

She´s getting better buds now.

Her sister (#1) is beginning to show the first signs of finishing. Her fan leaves have a hint of yellow to them.

This one looks like she´s just starting mid-flower.

The flowers are the same shape ... that´s the only similarity.

They might end up looking the same in 3 weeks.

One might taste of Gelato and the other Blueberries ... cool that they are so different.

Will there be a  Blueberry Headband x Three Kings pheno in every colab grow?

I have a Purple Matcha too, she´s one of my 4 night-time flowering plants.(1xPM,CMOG,BlueD-CBD,TheNewF2)

So I don´t see her as much as the other 5 Sherbinskis. (3xTheNew,2xSBGelato-day-shift).

She had a 28 day veg. Double topped for 4 main colas plus she has 4 lower side shoots.

I´ve used the door of a pet carrier as a weight/screen to open her centre up. One main cola each side. Works great.

Very dark green glossy leaves. I was concerned it was N tox ... but I think it´s the genetics. All photos and videos of her seem to show dark glossy leaves.

Sorry about the photos .. they came in at 1.5M  so I next quality level down and these are a grainy 900Kb. Photos are a pain.

But they do look so much better using the dark forum theme ... only took me short of two years to find that ...  bottom left hand of footer.

Another lovely day.

I took clones of this grow.

So far of this years colab only the San Bacio Gelato "Ugly Duckling" has rooted.

I´ve had better luck with "The New" with at least two of each plant (3) rooting.

I´m hoping the seedlings are Blue Dream x The New. There was a hermie spitting SS Gorilla Girl in with them.

If I get a male I´ll know it´s The New.

I took "The New #2" outside for some natural light.

She was vegged for 28 days, double topped.

Two side shoots made up to canopy level so she has six colas plus a couple i should have cut off. Test buds ...:bong:

Missed a trick here! Was keeping an eye out for logd with a few pages expecting them to be the furthest along so there would be more to see and you're flying ahead! Nice work man.

Hi thanks for stopping by.

Yes San Bacio Gelato #1 (The Swan Princess pheno) has dropped all her fan leaves in the last two days. Yellowed fast. She could finish very early.

Sorry I give some of my plants funny names ... I have a Choc Mint OG called "lil´Stumpy" ...

My Purple Matcha´s called "Tea Bag" because I googled Purple Matcha and  its a powdered tea too.

I´m not keen on taking "vegging" photos ... all plants look similar at this stage.

So my photos tend to be more of the flowering stages .. bud porn.

Those are some lovely girls, I'm jealous of your Spanish weather :oldtoker:

I'll just grab a seat in the shade for the rest of the show :)

Thanks, it´s too much 11am-4pm July and August, the rest of the year and day its very pleasant.

I grow inside, I have limited space on the terrace. Plus its too hot for small root balls.

Hi,

Today is the turn of The New #1 to get some natural light.

8 weeks flowering exactly.

She´s the tallest of the 3 plants (they go down in 2"/5cm steps).

She has 6 colas and her buds look hard, like they´d scratch you.

The New #1 - 56 days flowering

large.the_new_1.jpglarge.the_new_1-2.png

This one is nute sensitive ... it´s not often I get tip burns from organic teas.

I gave her a mini flush of 8ltrs water. I don´t want her to stall, she´s fattening nicely.

Sulking a bit but she´ll dry a little in the sun and be fine later.

Take care - stay safe - wash your hands ... twice .. get a rinse cycle in there

San Bacio Gelato #1 & #2 + the Purple Matcha are 7 weeks into flowering today.

Today was the turn of San Bacio Gelato #2 (Ugly Duckling) to get so sunshine on her leaves.

She has 4 main colas spread with a ring of wire, plus she has three lower side shoots.

She looks very green and white. Like in the first few shots.

It´s only when I auto adjust the light levels to get rid of the glare that colours on the buds in the lower shots show through.

Taken at 3pm in full sun ... everything shines.

San Bacio Gelato #2 - 49 days flowering

large.san_bacio_gelato_4buds.pnglarge.san_bacio_gelato_2.pnglarge.san_bacio_gelato_3buds.pnglarge.san_bacio_gelato_bud.pnglarge.san_bacio_gelato_minty.pnglarge.san_bacio_gelato_2bud2.png

So many more spear shaped sugar leaves than her sister. Her sister´s (#1) sugar leaves are more slender and tapered.

If you stand above this plant and look down all you see is leaf.

As her aim is to photosynthesise she´s got that sorted.

Buds swelling, a late-developer  ... she could be a beauty yet?

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi all hope everyone is well and wonderfully wasted. :hippy:

Stunning little glossy leaved plant.

Fat heavy nugs all the way down the stems.

Twinkling with hot sticky crystals on her bulging and heaving calyxes. :nono:

Solid colas like truncheons, zero problem grow. Stretch minimal.

All the plants in the grow are within a week or two of finishing.

Amazing genetics. A pleasure growing them. They all look like they´ll put me on my arse.

Hi Sam

I´m terrible with complex smells.

If one terpine is dominant I get it but usually my plants smell of greenness.

A hint of sweetness in the greenness .. or just chlorophyll?

The New #2 has a strange smell.

I´ve heard of a ´meaty´smelling pheno so perhaps its subliminal but it smells like my hands would after making a roast pork sarnie, rather than the meat itself.

Watery meat smell.
