Hi @HSO-Markkindly selected San Bacio Gelato and Purple Matcha for me in this wonderful seeds4diaries promo.

I've got my 400w HPS out of retirement.

Currently with a Philips veg bulb soon to change to a flowering bulb.

Plus a 220w Strip LED

Both lights slightly to the side and angled a little to add some side lighting.

It's busy in there. They are on 24/7.

I have flowering plants on large drip trays which slide across the tiled floor into a nearby dark bedroom with an oscillating fan set up.

So I rotate two sets of flowering plants.

It also means I can veg in the same space.

So the San Bacio Gelato and Purple Matcha are joining this rotation.

They arrived really early and I planted them that night 29/05/20

I planted 2 of each into a seed tray with new compost.

A Purple Matcha broke surface in 4 days, the San Bacio Gelato took 7/8 days.

One Purple Matcha didn't make it. It germinated and I could see the cotyledon leaves but it didn't grow any stalk and after about 4 days started going brown.

I potted them into 1 litre pots 3 days ago.

They look happy.

SBG @ 8 days old today.

The brown blotches on the first true leaf are from an accidental splash from a nearby Neem oil spraying. My mistake, I thought they were out of range.

It only hit the Purple Matcha and she's fine.

PM @ 11 days old

Looking forward to growing these. They sound a bit special. Fun Summer Grow 2020 ... fat fruity nugs is the goal. :hippy:

The New x 3

Planted the last 3 seeds ... still to taste any cured bud.

Hopefully this will end with better results than my last try.

All 3 germinated.  Here they are at 28 days veg. Flipping this week.

One is taller than the other two. Haven't numbered yet ...

The New F2 ... the result of my last grow ... I let the plant die on the stalk ... sacrificing any bud for the seeds. Seemed a good buzz from the straw-dry dust I tried. ... :smokin:

At least they are viable ... if its female I'll grow her out. I haven't counted the seeds ... but there's more than enough to keep me going in The New forever ... lol

@Geoff How's things going with the grow mate?

I hope well  :yep:

Very well thanks considering ambient temperatures are crazy high.

No a/c

I took some photos today.

There are two San Bacio Gelato in the foreground of the first two photos.

Two "The New" behind.

All plants were topped twice and flipped at 28 days.

They are in 8 litre pots. Feeding bat shit and worm tea.

This is "The New"#1 left and San Bacio Gelato #1

The New are at 36 days flowering. The SBG at 28 days.

The New #1

San Bacio Gelato #1

San Bacio Gelato #2

She was identical to #1 until around two weeks into flowering.

She hasn´t fattened up as quickly

large.DSC_1872-1.png

This is The New #2 she is very similar to #1 in height and development.

Sherbinski clones.

They are at 12 days so taken at 16 days flowering.

The largest clone top right has definitely rooted and is looking very happy. SBG #2.

There is a "The New" #3 she´s under the 400w HPS. because she´s a little smaller.

Also a Purple Matcha doing very well. She´s on the night shift.

I´ll get a shot at swap over time.

Stay Safe

Hi Sam thanks for dropping by.

Yes, I´m pleased with all the Sherbinski plants I have growing.

The two San Bacio Gelato are different phenos.

One has a more open structure. The other shorter node spacing and more leaf in the bud.

I´m growing these hoping that they taste great and are a good daytime buzz.

Had to Google "Gelato" the other day .. Mr Whippy never did them ..

I´ve been trying to have a veg routine instead of letting it just drift indeterminately.

So the routine i´m  using now on all my plants :-

Germ in seed tray. Repot seedlings into 1ltr pot. Top around 14 days leaving 4 nodes. The bottom pair for clones/seeds/bin.

Top again at around 21 days (when my fingernail can get 100% stalk but do 0% damage, no fimming allowed).

Repot into final 8ltr pot.

Top any side shoot that makes it to the same height as the main 4 branches.

Flip at 28 days.

I´m also trying not to let things drift on at the finishing/harvest stage.

Waiting for lots of amber trichomes ... no more. Chop and jar and move on. Efficient old hippy.  :hippy:

This is Purple Matcha this morning. She is 34 days into flowering.

Here I´m using the door from a cat carrier to open the centre up.

I adjusted the white balance on the Purple Matcha bud shot.

The Spanish sun was making a curtain glow and I noticed that the walls in the photos would probably look nice painted an Apricot pastel yellow, but at the moment they are actually white.

Auto White Balance adjustment.
