Sneaky lockdown grow (seb88)

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've only really been able to get to the plot during the night.

I've had a few more issues with slugs and have lost a few plants unfortunately. I've now added individual cups with copper tape to the base of each plant so hopefully that's the last of the attacks...

Some are recovering but it's slowed things down massively, it's a bit embarrassing posting a few of these but this is how the remaining are doing (excuse the weeds - needs a good tidy up)

I think my soil is far from ideal, it's pretty sandy and there's a fair bit of yellowing in places so assume it's not holding onto the nutes too well. I think I'll bring in some fresh soil and dig holes out over winter for next year.

Hopefully we'll have some better growth for the next update

Cheers

Seb

Alright there @seb88

Your plot looks sweet as brother, mind you ten miles walk is a bit of a stretch for the old legs.

Great idea with the start off box too, a shame that the ground is a bit poor but you’ve gotta be in it to win it and you’ve got a few down.

Good luck mate.

Take it easy Jj :yinyang:

  • 1 month later...

Unfortunately I'm going to have to call it a day on this plot. Turned up a few days ago to see some cleared paths in the tall grass upto my grow :(

Went up to check and all plants had been cut on the main stem and left lying on the ground...

Thanks again for all the seeds @HSO-Mark

Hopefully next year will be more successful, need to do a better job of finding somewhere more hidden away.
