Leafneck Posted August 11, 2019 Author Share Posted August 11, 2019 Morning all , had my bro over and got a 16 hour shift down.. came out the jungle after the last branch like this Was an absolute pleasure to harvest and have a good look at the buds as I haven't been able to access the room for 2 weeks. The smell was a very sour citrus like perfume while cutting .. which has us excited to try it ! The gorilla smelt like a strong hairspray/earthy/maybe slight petrol like smell .. shame theres not alot but mark my words I'll try the quick gorilla at some point as the SDG literally sat on top of the gorilla plant throughout 1st 2 plants down Friday night The sdg The back 2 plants in the centre of room I could reach through out turned out the be a very purple pheno which 100% had more of a blueberry smell to it .. I was so hyped up trimming those bad boys , you know when you wish you took a mother ... *rolls eyes * Gorilla.. theres not a lot due to being pushed in the corner and hiding behind the boisterous SDG neighbour , I'd say around an ounce with the popcorn but mega frosty tight nugs. Will upload dry pics and weight of gorilla. Final gathering as they dry now . Everything in the room off apart from extraction on minimum . I think I messed around with oil rads and oscillating fans to come on for 15 mins every hour that it dried it our to quick.. so I'm trying everything off in hope for a slow dry as possible so will see how it is in 3 days or so .Then everyone's favourite part, sizzle hash Hope your all well x 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Leafneck Posted August 12, 2019 Author Share Posted August 12, 2019 Few spelling mistakes in the last post, The back 2 plants in the centre of room I couldnt reach. I explain how I turned everything off except extraction .. I mean to say on my last grow I messed around the oil rads and all the fans ect trying to create perfect drying environment and it dried way too quick and left a hay smell. The bud is drying out well . A very strong smell when I walk in , the slight smell of chlorophyll is there but theres alot of stalks and the bud is slowly drying so I'm not panicking. Was a pleasure to harvest , final weight and smoke report in 12 days . I'll post a couple of my favourite pictures in the SDG strain section for anyone thinking of trying it too. From a 3 x 400w hps grow I'm mega happy Nice 14 day dry and its gonna tight and fluffy.. Like a snow globe when you open the grinder! Smoke hits you half way through the j, feel more happy and energetic than lazy and slumped. Be a perfect day time smoke. Very fruity, lemon and citrus are the main tones when smoking, the name suits the strain very well. The 4 friends of mine who just received 5 oz each are extremely happy bunnies I'll upload pics when I open the jar tomorrow. Love this forum and how people get together to help! The sweet deep Grapefruit.. Very tasty end product and a lot frostier than expected. I only have around 30% solid nugs and the rest feel a little airy.. To some I know preferably they like harder buds. Maybe it was my nutes running at 70% recommended strength or the lights only running 400w each. I would definetly say this strain will stretch, I think I flipped around 70cm and if i had the room they wanted to stand around 180cm tall. They took being topped very well, and super cropping is extremely adviced! Aslong as you can handle the 1st 3 weeks of flower this plant will be trouble free, was a learning curve and a pleasure.
