Dan1122
Semi-retired would probably best describe me these days mate. I’ve always got something going every year but I haven’t put in the same mental energy focus and dedication as a few years ago….BUT….that could all change. A little birdie has tweeted in my ear that things are changing fast in my neck of the jungle so I might just give it ago once more…..

I doubt they’ll be anywhere near it during summer.. There was feeding spots around the place so looks to be used a little to much.. I'll keep looking though.
crazy-sheep
6 hours of prep today. ground was frozen most the time I was there so I couldn’t turn my beds over so I cut back loads more bramble and cut a few tops off trees for better light i then scrapped 24 bags for life’s worth of mulch from near by to cover my beds. I turned over my 6 holes from last season and added bone meal, rock dust and mulch, all a little at a time and turned and repeated and then covered with mulch. Will go back in a month or so to turn the beds over and add chicken manure and FFB

crazy-sheep
This is my 3rd plot for this season. It’s a plot iv used before a few times but not last year. When I got here, it was overgrown so I’ve opened it up about 5 x bigger than it was so it’s open much more for better airflow and it was surrounded by brambles My bed has had loads of mulch, coco, compost and dry ferts from before so it won’t take much to turn it over. Covered in mulch for now to hopefully kill most weeds and grass which helps when it’s time to turn over.
