Deadcock
Hi All, Ive just completed building a new double Stealth Drobe and have taken pictures of what i did, step by step Equipment Used : 1 Oak Double Wardrobe 4 PC 12 Inch 3000 RPM PC Fans 4 Large Brackets 1 Large Grill 2 Bolt on Hooks 1 Large Diamond Mylar, 5 metres 1 Roll of Silver Adhesive Tape (50m) 1 Rubber Strip 2 Rolls of P Shaped Draught Excluder (4m) 2 Latch type catches First Step, Prepared the side Panels, Cut the Mylar to size leaving an edge and taped with the silver tape; Finished. I repeated the same for the other panel, now im attaching support bars for my brackets to be screwed onto. Close up Now for a well deserved Coffee and Cheese Spliff The lovely smelly cheese im blazin.... Right Back to Work....or Play?.....bit of both i reckon.... Had already drilled 4 5 inch holes and 1 2 inch hole in this rear panel earlier in the day, forgot to take pics as i nearly burnt my drill out, lots of smoke Anyhoo, drilled 2 at top for extraction and 2 at bottom for cold air intake, plus one hole at middle top for power cables to be run through. Mylard and Cut holes, taped all down. Holes at top, 2 x 5 inch for extraction and 1 x 2 inch for running power cables through Holes at bottom, both 5 inch for cold air intake. Cheese had now fully kicked in, time to stack all the panels, have another cuppa and ride the buzzz Now that ive come back to earth after a rather loud blasting of Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Chile Slight Return, time to carry on; Now to fix the brackets that will hold my grill up over the intake fans. Both Brackets now fitted. Will post more pics as soon as ive processed them from my cam......Watch this space good folks....
Deadcock
Now for the doors, ive already hung them in their frame Now for the kit to fit the doors with Mylar and a rubber flap down the centre of the doors to stop light leaking. Rubber Strip, Silver Tape, Stanly Knife, Scissors and a BT Staple Gun. (the U shaped cable staples) First, measure the rubber strip and polish with anti static polish. Makes it clean and shiny, Removed the top door magnets Door magnets reattached and mylar positioned for cutting and taping. Now ready for finshing off trimming and taping the Mylar ready for the rubber strip to be attached. Time for another J Break... Rubber Strip stapled to door, Finished Coating the interior of the Door. All finished and looking good, this is what the doors look like from the front. Now for the Drobe Base, ive started to coat it with waterproof white duck tape first; Mylar cut to size before taping. Drobe Base Finshed and ive also cut a spare bit of mylar as a another coating to catch dirt etc... I repeated for the Drobe Top and drilled two holes evenly apart, but wider then normal for better 'no exhaust swing' of the LED Growlight Close ups of bolted Hook Bolted on from other side with washer in place, Will be back as soon as to post more pics,,,,,,,stay tuned peeps..... Deadcock
Now the top has been fitted, its time to fit the Extraction and Intake Fans to the Rear Panel Fans im using are 3000 RPM 3.6W 120mm PC Fans running from a 12V DC Adapter Via MOLEX Connectors for ease of changing if problems arise or cleaning is needed. Top Extraction Fans View From Inside Bottom Two Fans Turned Around For Blowing In Cold Air (Intake), below the raised grill line for good air culation underneath the airpots. With Molex Connectors View Of Intake Fans From Inside Finshed Drobe Ready For Her Internals!! Exciting Times Ahead,,, Now to fit the Grill. And the 6 Inch Cooling Fan goes in (it was a clip on fan but i removed the clip on bit and just hung it instead), tied in a fixed angle with Kite String, all tied to a screw and looped round for lifting and lowering, the back of the fan is buffered from causing noise by vibration by using a piece of sticky backed rubber 'P' shaped draught excluder (to be used later)between the fan and the wall of the drobe. Now to hang my 300W LED Growlight, the wider hooks will lift it a bit higher and also keep it steadier. (its at its highest positon because my plants that are going to go under it are already 2 weeks plus old) Cool pic of my LED with her BIG 50W Eyes! Now for the Power Cables to go in thought that third hole i cut. Internal RH & Thermometer installed, the wire attaches to another Digital Thermometer i have outside of the drobe so i dont have to keep opening the doors to read the RH & Temps. Top Door Latch Fitted, erm stuffed up a bit on that, hence the two screw holes, erm ill just fill them in later,,,,, . Bottom Latch went better, P shaped Rubber Seal to be used around all the Gaps in the Doors Next Post will be the Final Stage......Tune in, Turn Up And Chill Out Peeps.

jumpman233345
fantastic deadlock , it is indeed a beast!! a few questions i can think ov if i may 1. Where did you source the oak wardrobe from? was it costly?? 2. Are the cooker hood filter disc's capable of eliminating all smell from any strain in full flower?? ,thats my main concern, i know you said its all in place so there is no pictures but i would LOVE LOVE to see how you have done that , i think its the most important part of the build and im very interested to see how its done and how effective it will be with 4 stinky plants flowering inside 3. When i ordered the mylar, 5m like yourself ,it came folded so was creased to death , yours doesn't have a crease in sight!! how have you achieved this ?? All in all its a lovely job mate thanks for sharing and that cheese bud looks so so tasty!!! iv not had a Joint for nearly 2 weeks now and that pic got my taste buds tingling not to mention saliva forming a'la homer simpson thanks for sharing mate

Joint hogger
very nice build deadlock but i think you will have to change your out take fans & carbon discs, if you haven't grown before ?, the smell is a lot more pungent than smoking the smelliest bit of cheese & imo, your place will be honking once your plants are in flower. the smallest fan & filter i'd recommend for your space is a 4" inline fan & a 4" decent carbon filter, if its too noisy running at full pelt, you can add a xplair WAC1 fan controller to slow the fan down for about £30. atb JH

All in all its a lovely job mate thanks for sharing and that cheese bud looks so so tasty!!! iv not had a Joint for nearly 2 weeks now and that pic got my taste buds tingling not to mention saliva forming a'la homer simpson thanks for sharing mate Yo dude, Heres some answers for ya dude; 1: I bought this drobe from the internet, solid oak, and yeah it was pricey, eeeeep! but it is gonna be my last build for a long time. Unless one of my mates offers me for it, hes gonna have to dig deep as the drobe alone was 400 quid. 2: Yeah, im using 5 inch aluminium tubing ( a metre per fan ) that slips over the Externally mounted fan itself, then ive sealed it all up with silver tape, i might move the fans inside the drobe tho for easier cleaning, and leave the tubing on the other side. Tell you what, if i do move her out again (nightmare!!! took me ages to get her level!) , ill certainly take pics as i proved this has worked with these strains; 4 Afghan Kush Ryder (slightly smelly) 2 Tangerine Dreams (slightly smelly) 1 Berry Bomb (Super Stinky, open the doors and wollop! ) 1 Big Bang (slightly) 4 Pineapple Punch Autos (stinky in a weird fruity, ripening apples type of way) and the worst stinkiest plant on the planet, so bad that it scares people from growing it! Cheese (3rd Generatin clone, Skunk #1, Afghan Kush Pure Cross) Now thats Stinky! To prove my theory worked I ran a test, i took the filter disks out and straight away my misses came up to me and said 'i can smell that dowenstairs;' Put em back in and gone. Even at night when they kick off even more with the smell. Its worth a try my friend! itll save some bucks and it does work! 3: Good Qustion about the Mylar mate! Yeah they will bloody fold it, which is REALLY annoying, unless you tell your supplier to send it Rolled. My one does but didnt at first, sent me creased shitty looking mylar, so i range them, returned it and paid an extra £1.50 for a courier to deliver it to me rolled. Ring em dude! theyll sort it out for ya. Hope thats all ok mate!

So, Ive been looking at grow cabs for people like me, who just want to keep it very low profile, without the cost. Yeah my drobe was expensive as was the lights that go in it, but i am very limited on space and have to work within my guidelines. No tent will fit my size. Plus i didnt want to clutter up the place with a filter, yeah i could run two tubes into a Y connetor tube into the Filter etc..... but i just havnt got the space, I could piut it ontop of my drobe, but my misses wont like it, not exactly stealth eh? But...nor is the smell. So, if you read my reply to Jumpman, you will see that i have already tested it with some different smelling strains. In my opinion if a cooker charcoal filter can eliminate the smell of anything strong cooking then it will work for this, Plus you can add as many cut out disks to that tubing as you can fit into it, one thing i did notice is that you caant have the filters too close to the fans. It slows them down. All i say is, ive tried it and it works, why not give it a go yourself?, you can buy a charcoal hood filter for £2.00 max, plus you can cut about 10 disks out of that, 5 Disks per tube, at intervals, yeah it does work, keep the fans on all night and its cool. So £35 or £2?, its worth a gamble aint it? Depends on howe much ya growing of course and also the area, but hey? for stealthers like me, its not a lot. 4 plants max.
