refugee Posted April 8, 2012 Share Posted April 8, 2012 (edited) So i guess i better get this show going, this will most likely not be the winning thread, it´s just a tribute but anyways i had planned on not posting anything till i switched to 12/12 cause i hate those grow threads where you start with a picture of the seed packet, next picture is seeds floating in water, next one seeds with tiny tails, you then bookmark the thread, come back in 2 month time and find that there has been no updates for over a month and the grower has disapeared... but im bored so i might aswell just take the plunge I started them 2 or 3 weeks ago (must be 3 weeks), i dont write things down never have and never will i have no rule about how old the plants should be when i switch to 12/12, when they are ready they are ready, i dont use a nute scheme either, i give them what they need when they need it, it´s actualy rather easy, i look at my plants everyday and ask them what they want for breakfast, and i always get a reply, sometimes it´s water and sometimes they want something a bit stronger and they seem to be happy with that they are grown in peat (the kind you use for seedlings and cuttings) with some perlite mixed in, it´s not realy a perfect substrate but it´s the only one available to me unless i wanna start ordering soil from another country, which is just too damn expensive, for nutrients i will be using BioGrow, BioHeaven, FishMix, BioBloom, Bat Guano and Melasse anyways on to the porn, but as they are still in their preteen stage there will be no exposed titties or other kinds of explicit material... yet at 2 weeks (aprox) as you can see the one in the back had some leaf issues, but it seems to have grown out of them again Edited April 8, 2012 by refugee 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Interestingly you mentioned there is no set point for 12/12 and I completely agree. Technically cant you 12/12 from almost any age.? Ive seen it done from 5 days after clone rooted (About an inch and half tall - and I know some people Vegg for massive amounts of time).. Dunno maybe its strain based as well. It all depends on how much room you have and how your plants grow, a indica that doesn't stretch at all should have longer veg time than something like Neville's Haze, but if you wanted you could start your plants on 12/12 they just won't get very big (depending on strain ofc) I have these 5 Freddys best in a 1x1x2 meter growtent and i want those 5 plants to use as much of the space as possible so I don't waste any light, so if they don't grow enough sideways compared to how fast they grow upwards I will top them, which will increase the veg time But I think I might have to update this more often, the plants have entered the rapid growth phase, and the difference between the picture I took sunday and to now tuesday is huge, they have almost doubled in size and the side branches have started to show, might also have to repot them by friday which is just crazy, it's only a week since I repotted last, will put them in 2,5 liters, and then 6,5l and finally into 11l ones And thank you all for the nice support, let's hope it ends as well as it started and sorry for the ranting, too much chocolope and chem#4 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
