Nugz
Sweet Cheese, Sweet Skunk & 2x Sweet Special Hey peeps welcome to my 2nd competition diary Another huge Thank you! to Tommy, all at Sweet Seeds and of corse UK420! keep up the good work guys, I'd be lost without this place Lets crack on with these 3rd Gen Sweets shall we, heres a little rundown on what i'll be using Kit: Secret Jardin DS60 - 60cm x 60cm x 140cm Sunmaster 250w Dual Spec, Maxibright Ballest & Reflecter 85w CFL, Old Growb(mini veg box), Pot & Lid - For Germing And 1st Few Days 4" Ruck & 4" Rhino Pro Filter 5 Step Variac Fan Speed Controller 2 x 5" PC Fans & 1 x 6" Clip On Fan 500ml Dehumidifier SMC Spidermite control/Leafwash 1" Rockwool Cubes, 3" Round Pots, 6.5 Litre Square Pots Plant Magic Plus Organic Soil Plant Magic Oldtimer Bloom BioBizz Fishmix If Needed The Sweets Germination This is how i crack my beans and to be fair it's never failed me. I pre soak 1" Rockwool cubes in plain ol council pop(water) for about a hour, give them a squeeze and a shake to get the excess water and air out, making sure they're not too wet, then I put the seeds(point end down) about 2mm deep in the hole on the rockwool cube, after that they go under a dark pot in the Mini veg box with a 85w CFL for warmth, as soon as they pop i put them under the CFL. Oh and not forgeting the 5" pc fan for air movement when they get a bit bigger. jobs a good'un Sweet Special's 1st To Pop - 48 Hours In Sweet Cheese And Sweet Skunk - 72 Hours In Day 1 Lights on 24/0 They are all above ground so we'll call this day 1. As you can see the Sweet Specials have popped first and they are still in the mini veg box under a 85w (blue) CFL, im not surpised the Sweet Specials popped first as the seeds are tiny. All 4 have now been put into 3" Pots with Plant Magic Plus organic soil. Not sure whats going on with the seed leaves on the Sweet Cheese, the new growth on her seems to be going so im not panicking too much just never seen that before, fingers crossed she'l be ok, perhaps the seed shell damaged them?? Nothing much happening other than that really as they are only ikkle, just keeping an eye on temps and keeping them nice and moist but thats about it, Temps: 25C - 26C Feed: None - Just plain water All 4 In The Mini Veg Box Catch you all soon

Thats pretty much it really apart from just keeping an eye on temps and keeping them moist. Short and sweet i know but here's thisweeks update.
