PureSmkr
Green_bhoy I have a DR150 with 4int 6ext with an SMSCOM twin fan controller & temps are fine even in summer with 2x 600w HPS Edited January 10, 2012 by PureSmkr
Budelaire
A few pics of it in the DR150. perfect fit sideways, but i reckon a 4-way could fit in as one pics shows there about 16" space once pushed against the back wall. Happy with it, and its here vegging at 800w. I have chosen two 400-600w dimmables for it. My newest Lumateks.

Green_bhoy
Looks shit hot, had a little look at my para in my DR120 and joining 2 together might be a bit of a squeeze. Think i'll go and buy a DR150. Any suggestions on a decent fan controller? Would the 5" intake and 6" ext do the job or spend a little and get larger fan and filter? Still not decided. Would love to try the 2 para's joined together. Hows the smscom controller?
Budelaire
It was fine in the DR120 as long as negative pressure was just steady, so you would need an active intake just below you out power wise. Although having it hung so that it goes from corner to corner stopped that a little and thats how its fits the Dr120 really. Will get dimensions of it later or tomorrow buddy. Great work Bud this must be the worlds 1st twin para, wonder what it would be like with 4 para's joined together ? in fact i think i might borrow your idea but i'll use 2 80cm para's in a dr120 & i've got the choice of using an old 600w powerplant mag ballast, 400w lumatek sl & a 400w maxibright digital
Budelaire
It would fit in pal so why not, 4-way for a mkII. I've got two 80's waiting for the same treatment for my DR120 now.

Budelaire
80cm Dual Spectrum Parabolic Perfect for the DR120 etc Here is the 80cm one, same process and fits the same. Due to wanting to keep these as separates for future use no doubt, i just left it as you see here. i.e the fan you use to bridge is just turned upside down and then affixed top and bottom like before. Joint hogger
looks excellent matey, i'll definately be doing this mod once i've got the space to put my 120 up, the 2 base plates also sit more level than the 100's. what combination of bulbs are you going to use ? Budelaire
To be fair one of the two 1mtr ones was shagged JH so it looks a little fucked. With brand new ones that haven't been made up yet they would be perfect. As your probably aware the blade/fan sections take shape a little too easily. I'd like to say 2x400w in there for 50w per sqft, but will probably go 600w hps and 400mh. It's got a 360 and a 300 dimmable 600w lumatek on it. So a 2011 and 2010 model. The big one as the newer 400w minimum ones running that. Might start taking advantage of 400w bulbs now. I just run 600s ATM.
