rah sta
now wondering where to place the ballast. Somewhere up high, away from water and water spills. If you can't build a shelf, hanging is an option. Having a fan blowing somewhere around it is a good idea. Very nice work by the way. Randalizer, Thanking you for poppin in and the feedback. Personally i prefer the shelf idea so will be knocking one up soon. Bless R s

rah sta
Blessings to all, Girls overgrew the veg box at last, so had to move em to the bigger drobe. Decided on velcro'ing the black and white to the drobe to get it as airtight as possible (had the black n white already and velcro cost a couple of quid). Will be going for the zipper option on my following grows, if this one fails me. Rhino filter fitted and ballast screwed onto drobe wall. Trying out hanging the reflector lengthwise as, short of a light rail, light distribution doesnt seem to suffeciently get to the side walls. rah sta
Passively venting into the space atm and getting negative pressure. This seems to be working ok when the ballast is set on 400w, but goes up to about 29 degrees c when on 600w. Hopefully the introduction of an intake fan should enable running the ballast on the 600 setting.
rah sta
Back to the sliding doors. Got some 9mm marine ply to clad my sliding doors. Hav'nt yet decided if to paint or not for i love the colour of unpainted ply and the look of the grain, so might just wax it. Hav'nt yet cut the remaining pieces of the sliding door frames, so just screwed the ply on the top pieces for now.

rah sta
Evening all, It's been a minute since we posted on here. When the season warms up, i get to spend more time in the shed/workshop (been building a couple of bbq grills) so the drobe has'nt been getting a lot of time buildwise. Squeezed in a couple of hours towards it and it's looking stealthier as time goes. Having recycled two 2 metre lengths of rail, gaps were left on either ends of the rails when attached. Chiselled pieces of wood to fit in flush with the rails. The Door to the left hang loosely because i had'nt fitted the piece of chiselled 2x2 above it. rah sta
When a Woolworths a few miles from here closed down i recycled loads of timber cladding boards from their store room and have been using them when a job requires. Used these to frame my sliding doors though had to hand cut them in half lengthwise.
