just thought id add,

these'll be going in compost , and be fed (from under)with biobizz .

under cfls (375w)- may be interesting in comparison to all the pro hps growers

they'll be bent and tied and bondaged to extremity too.

photos to follow

Okay,

1 of each was soaked 24hrs , then in bogroll to pop.

all now in small seedpots with b+q seedling compost.

The bj came out very very quick , literally 10 hours in bog roll and tail appeared.

(on a seperate note , these free seeds have really encouraged me to sort my style out .

Considering a 'street' grow tent deal from greens - comes with ruck fan , cf , 250 hps , ballast, timer switches etc.

All for around 300 squids.

My cfls have EASILY saved me this much since last year, and the other half's into the plan.

just wondered if anyone had any opinions about these 'street' boxes- are they any cop at all.

My space is prety light tight already , so small light leaks arent an issue , I just don't want the smell about the place any more, and all the bust reports i read put the right shits up me.

photees will come

peace all

all 3 are coming on well ,

but the psico. has 3 cotleydons (?)/seed leaves ,

and now has 3 first leaves where id expect only 2 .

is this good?

i can't imagine it's bad ?

can anyone suggest what this may mean/imply?

OH DEAR!!!!!

accidental slaying of the bj,

i foolishly left this seedpot on the side in the shed , baby came into garden to 'help' ,

one moment of not paying attention, 1 dead seedling ,

BUT

still have some bj beans ....so no.2 is in bogroll as we speak.

Shame really as the bj was the biggest strongest seedling of the lot too.

e2a syanide , do you know why folk dont like the 'street ' tents??

my space is pretty lighttight already, so light shouldnt cause issues .

anyone else with exp of these boxes????

  • 3 weeks later...

the s.a.d. is definitely the strongest plant thus far.

2nd black jack didnt pop. (Im gonna save the last seed til I can give it the best possible start in life.)

1st psico (the 3leafed one) stretched something rotten , then flopped over and died , so another psico went in to pop and is now showing 2nd set of leaves.

so i now have a good few week old sad seedling , and a younger psico seedling growing , but the bj (which i was looking forward to most will have to wait . I hope that last bean will pop)

i will eventually update with pics , but am embarrassed because of my level of skill in comp to the (semi)pro greenfingered types on here

peace

sad topped yesterday night after 4th node .

Its a strong little bugger , but a bit stretched.

When i pot up can i put the plant a bit lower in pot ,

ie will it make roots out of the stem???

if so , what level should the soil come up to ?(above / below seed leaves etc)

cheers

pis now topped after 4t node ,

SAD starting to branch out a bit.

Really clear differences between them , as i guess to be expected. The SAD is showing very 'indica'-like growth , very compact nodes , and fatt leaves , the pis is much lankier , wider spaces 'tween nodes , but bigger more elegantly 'fingered ' leaves.

Both still vegging under household cfls til theres space for them , might not be for a good long while til they're flowered , but i may put the pis in soon , as im concerned about stretching ...

we'll see

onwards and upwards , and again thanks to those who made this possible .

(anything gratis is a big bonus for me . I've already won a prize - a chance to grow these beans)

peace folks

ps still not splashed out on the growtent package from greens , gonna get the real , not the street version , so not til next month.....
