Sidewinder
i have heard the same about the S&P fans, on the spec sheet it says they work upto 40 celcius, i have installed mine outside the growroom so i doubt it will ever run anywhere near 40 celcius. spark1
Alright Lotus mate, ive ordered my fan today. In the end i went for this http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MRMRK150M.html SHould do the trick, it far outpowers what i need. Ive heard good things about these fans too. Although in the end it cost me £160 i think it was worth it, if it gets my grow underway! Wish me luck! LB

spark1
Yeah, i ordered the bracket, and some ducting. How loud are they when running?...ive seen a few ideas about an acoustic box built around fans, think i may have to do that. A dimmer?..is that a special control box for it?...or one of those things u get in living rooms to dim the lights? Sorry, still pretty new. Glad to hear someone saying that sittingrelaxing, i always get jitters about buying new things, incase their no good....im happy now!
sittingrelaxing
How loud are they when running?... i think lotus said about it depends on the airflow, his right, if your air intake holes are to small the air has to force though and makes it whistle.. ive seen a few ideas about an acoustic box built around fans, i've put mine in the loft,so i dont need a box,but you can make them out of wood, and put rockwool(loft grade) in around the fan.... A dimmer?..is that a special control box for it?. you cant use a normal house 1,all growshops sell them, there's an "how to make a dimmer" somewhere in here..... they aren't a nessesity straight away imo, unless your room is too cold(which i doubt) wait to see if you need it i always get jitters about buying new things, incase their no good....im happy now! me to mate.....that's why i joined here.....once you've got a grow under your belt, you'll adapt things to your needs, then every grow after that is a learning curve.... enjoy the journey.... sr
