in photoshop select the round marquee tool ( top left on tools )

hold down 'shift and alt' + 'press and hold left mouse button' and dragout-ward to make a perfect circle

right click in circle and choose 'make work path'

choose the text tool and click on path (circle) and type..

and away you go.. :wassnnme:

Fine up to 'click on path and type', I clicked on the circle and the text just goes straight across.

i can make that work sort of but it writes to the inside of the circle and at the bottom of the circle the text is upside down :wassnnme:

eeerm...it might be something to do with where your clicking on the circle, the size of text...

erm..when you hover over the circle with the text tool is there a little diagonal line that apears?

so it does'nt look like this..

arhh i see

once you've made your circle type your text and choose the move tool (black arrow top right tool box)

then press 'Ctrl and hit T' on the keyboard

then right click in the middle of the box that appears and choose 'flip vertical' and press return

think that does it..

Managed it in Paint shop in the end. Dunno if it's works the same in photoshop J but I drew a freehand line as a new vector layer along the curve and the text tool let me write along it.

also you might have to raterize the type by going to..

layer..rasterise..type..and that gets rid of the circle under the type

but only do that once you've finished your artwork..

need beer now!.... :)

have you try'd getting the text to the top of the circle before doing the 'Ctrl + T' right click 'flip vertical'

like this

post-12796-1151845607_thumb.jpg

what photoshop are you useing?..i don't know why but i have to hit return to get mine to flip..

plus the circle goes away when you click on another layer..which is good cause it keeps it as a working path still so you can edit..
