Arnold Layne
Anyone else noticed how prolific the Hawthorn has been this year? Boughs of bloom all almost too heavy and are at breaking point! Sign of a hot summer to come? Let's hope

cyclops
Hi FMB,cheers man..the cam is a Konica-minolta DiMAGE Z6,a fine cam for the price £260 for cam and 40 for larger card, batteries and charger etc....6mp,x12 opt zoom, super macro to 1cm these were taken with a dimage z10 First at 35 ft range, second at 20ft . third was nearer 50/60ft. The macro setting is only so so. and when tried didnt give the results I wanted but will try with a tripod. Camera cost £70 in Asdaonly 3,2 mpx lens 36 to 290 mm Definetly better than my fuji finepix 3.2mpx or sansui 2mpx . The problem I have is I cant spend the hundreds on a camera. cash has to be priortised

Lizard
can anyone tell me the names of these flowers please?.. the last two shots ( the pink ones ) are aquilegia vulgaris (sounds like a skin complaint doesn't it ) the common name is columbine . not sure about the blue ones I've got some in my own garden so I'd be interested to find out. The problem I have is I cant spend the hundreds on a camera. cash has to be priortised value for money than, bit fiddly because of where we have got to, 35mm SLR. Develop own negatives and get a film scanner adaptor. your printer might have one. £125 film SLR you won't touch that for £400 digital path .... need £25/50 squids of negative developing stuff at start then you got 'grain' to be digitised and not the flat pErfect crispness of pixles.... take some care with disposal of small scale toxic waste fluids you will accumilate over ??? depends how much you do, 6 months ..... half a dozen corona sized bottles of exhausted fluid, better onto a patch of unimportant soil than down bog, omly hyperchlorate and some silver salts residue .... you could probably drink a mouth full followed by several glasses of clean water and you'd be okay so momma can buffer that back in, if you see what i mean... the film left on the paper from inkjet printers is many many times more toxic and it doesn't ever fully fix so a kids wet thumb on picture and then in mouth i think there is enough toxcicity to knock a small kid clean out .... or hyposulphate, can't remember, but not complex organic substances, non organic salts and fluids ...
