Another vote for MountainAir :yep:

My 5in 500mm is a few years old and still going strong.

Just got a 4in fox (dinky little thing) for my mum cab , they're supposed to be banging for the money but yeah, mountain air for flowering because I hear prison food ain't all that great.

I think budget filter can be a solid option as long as you keep them dry. It's easy to sign up to big spend = big performance logic.

And for sure you dont want to buy bottom range.

Truth is a rare bird in this industry of bro science and hype marketing😵‍💫

What’s important is matching the power of the fan to the capacity of the filter.

If you look closely you should find ratings for them in CFM :)

Fan should be rated higher than filter to accommodate length of ducting plus bends etc.

Just make sure the whole lot is the right size for your grow space, last thing you want is a fan going full blast the whole time.

My logic suggested that a 6" 600mm long rhino hobby would deliver excellent air cleaning combined with an 6" ac infinity cloudline fan!!!

🤔

Premium fan + huge middle range carbon filter.

🤔

Absolutely.

A 120 x 60 tent will accomodate a 600mm CF and 6" cloudline Ac fan

They are available on the big river website, I've been buying the 4inch ones for my grow spaces.

Here's the title for their 6inch one👍

RAM Filter - 150/475 (6") 500m³/hr - 150mm Neck, 475mm Body

Bugger just noticed it's "Currently unavailable" sorry

Don’t really get the point of long filters all the air takes the easiest path and gets sucked through the nearest point to the ducting. Surely thickness of the carbon is more important?

Sounds like a logical point!!🤔  but if it's such a simple dynamic would we not be using 100mm long filters?  Needs a deep dive.

Perhaps we fail to recognise swirling draw/venturi and other wizardish tricks of physics🤔

Premium fan

Cloudlines are budget e.c fans , yeah they're not too shabby at all but they are definitely entry level for anything with an e.c motor.

Imho a premium fan would be a g.a.s k series e.c fan or something very similar

An entry level EC is a step up over a basic rvk though!

@chrononzon23 Well it’s the same whatever size filter just that surely must be exaggerated the longer it is and reach a point where it’s useless.

@KC my cloudlines about 2 maybe 3 years old i reckon, its just starting to show signs of having been on constantly now, give it a couple more years and it'll be for the bin i think , plenty of time to save up /sell my body for a k fan lol
