jiujitsupigface
After last year's mediocre attempt, I'm going to give it another go this year. I started in June last year and the poor summer led to quite a poor yield. Around 2-3 ounces from 3 plants. This year I have opted for Frisian Duck from Dutch Passion. The reviews are good and I like the stealth aspect of them. I've already germinated 2 seeds via the wet paper towel method and transferred them to small pots in the conservatory. Some things I'm doing differently this year: Seeds started in April, not June. Frisian Duck Photo, not Critical Mass X Northern Lights Auto 45L Fabric pots rather than 16L Using B&Q Verve compost rather than BioBizz All Mix Watch this space!

Strange Cargo
Also wondering about having a go with a Frisian Duck for a low profile grow amongst the veg, so will keep an eye on this. Hoping for better weather this year though.

Crow River
Good luck with the grow! I grew Frisian Duck last year. My experience is she's a late finisher, indeed at my latitude didn't really finish properly at all. Very vigorous and tough strain though.
jiujitsupigface
Day 22: I'm off to a rocky start! One of the seedlings was growing as expected but the other seed seemed to disappear in the pot I transferred it to! It was subsequently replaced by a fresh one which appears to be going well. On Day 20 I noticed that the original seedling was starting to become droopy. I watered it well and added in some BioBizz Grow which seems to have perked it up slightly although there is some discolouration in the leaves. I'm starting to wonder if it has been overwatered or maybe it is nutrient burn? I added the suggested amount (2ml/L) but it may have been too much. No 1: Before watering & Nutrients: The NExt Day After Watering & Nutrients: No 2: Not much to report here! Fingers crossed, next time you see them they will both be outside. This year's weather isn't off to a good start!
CustardVape
2ml is a litlle too strong for seedlings especialy in Verve which has allready got feed in it. I'd knock it back to 1ml at least until there in full swing. Best of luck mate
jiujitsupigface
Day 32: After 10 days since my last update, we don't seem to have much progress. The sun is only just starting to show it's face finally so that could be to blame. No 1: After overfeeding last time, I decided to trim off the leaves that were going brown and crispy. The new growth that came through seemed okay until yesterday when I noticed the ends were starting to turn brown. I decided to carefully repot this into some verve/perlite mix. I removed as much of the existing contaminated soil from the roots as carefully as possible and gave it a good water to try flush out any of the nutrients. Recently it has started to look sad again. The jury is still out on this one. No 2: She was off to a good start but she has started to show the same signs as No 1 with some droopy leaves. She hasn't been over-watered or underwater so I'm not sure what it is about these Frisian Ducks! Hopefully some fresh air will do her some good!
