Tent humidity

Hi

 

How do I keep my humidity low in my 4x2 grow tent. it's in the garage which is 80% humidity and 8c the Inline fan is on all the time and I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle as its dragging in cold air and 80% humidity. Am I doing something wrong. I had a humidifier but it keeps fighting the high humidity outside. I cant dehumidifier the garage as its not air tight.

Increase the temperature,

this will in turn reduce the RH  

 

Growing in garages at this time of year usually requires some insulation to help with the temperature.

 

What stage are your plants at?

Plants are just going into flower. The tent is well Insulated so holding temp is OK. When I raise the temp my vpd goes out the window is that a big problem

Getting the temperature right is more important than following VPD parameters

 

Is that eight degrees centigrade in your original post?

Yeah 8c is way too low, that'll sort your humidity. I thought I was a plant torturer

If it's a typo and you meant 18ºc that is still too cold
