Satchitananda Posted December 13, 2023 Share Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) I have ended up with quite a dense canopy without much in the way of colas, can I remove some of the upper leaves to allow some more light penetration? Last time I had something like this I ended up with quite airy buds, like popcorn and I am convinced it was from lack of light penetration. I need to improve my training so I get taller colas, or just do a scrog. I defoliated the one on the left and am leaving the one on the right, the one on the left needed it more anyway and this way I get to compare results. They are different strains though so it's not very scientific. Out of interest the one on the left is Seedstockers Gorilla Cookies and the right is KGB's Psychotropic. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Satchitananda Posted December 13, 2023 Author Share Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) I didn't go too drastic but you could see the floor when looking at the plant top down so I did take quite a bit off. Or if you can dim ballast ,how strong is bulb? I have raised the light and have room to do it more It's a 250w about 10" away (now, that bud did get closer though).
