Controller 69 - Is it worth it?

So i've been thinking about getting the controller 69. I have a 4 inch inline fan from them for the past few years which I love.

It was one of the earlier ones so it shipped without the controller 67, it has a controller but its missing bluetooth and has no minimum fan speed - meaning I just keep it on setting 2 all the time and don't use any of its adaptive capabilities  

 

I've settled in to a new house and have a garage outside that my cabinet now lives in. Its pretty cold. So I was thinking upgrading to the controller 69 would be brilliant as i'd have my temperature control and fan control all in one unit. 

 

I've been reading up a bit and have 2 main concerns. 

 

The connectivity, is it really that bad? I don't want to drop 200 euro for something that drives me mad every week having to redo settings

 

The other thing is the UIS plug adapters. Virtually nobody sells them in europe yet alone the UK. It would have to be imported from the states with customs duty added on and then even at that it has an American plug so it would have to be adapted. Is there another way around this or is that actually what i'd have to do?

 

Any insight from someone who has gone down this path would be great!
