Scalping4091
Can anybody offer and experience with this company? They have a LED stealthy grow box that looks interesting. I've been away from growing for a long time and so have lost touch with what's happening

Arthur Mix
They look a bit erm tbh maybe a 3d printed filter works but better to have a proper fan and filter imho. Just get a cupboard or tent and do your own.
KC
They look really shit and they're tiny too. I'd give it a swerve.
Scalping4091
Hmmm. Not much love for that then, but thanks for your informative replies. The thing is small, but I only want 1 plant. I smoke only a light amount. I have contemplated self-build. That's what I've always done earlier. I just liked the idea of a ready to go solution IF that solution is well regarded by the growing community. It appears this product is not. The problem is that I live in rented accomodation. The landlord performs an annual inspection of the property. Being able to just move the entire cabinet would be great. Time limits (or perhaps I am just a lazy bugger), lack of working space and tools all push me towards a turnkey solution. Is there any turnkey box (not tent) which is well regarded? Arthur Mix
If your in rented accommodation a decent fan and filters a must imho not a bespoke 3d printed version that’s like a wheezing mouse
BilgePump
They look shocking, in fact the more you look the worse it gets, those scrog fixings, all the way up there Hard pass. Edited September 27, 2023 by BilgePump
Slippy One
with diy you can use the latest tech, I’m always improving the design with new tech but it’s an easy, rewarding process to build stealth cupboards. Sometimes a whole wardrobe is a tad obvious, I opted for a stealth nursery cab (now hidden under the tv in the lounge), and medium sized wooden ‘gentleman‘s’ closet, which can pump out 250g every cycle using old mums. I’ll do an update on this thread to share what cool upgrades I made. Cupboards made from solid wood can evolve with tech as you do. One of these is now a copper topped kitchen island on wheels, and the flowering SCROG box has been tastefully covered in black van felt for noise and heat insulation. Both boxes almost silent under normal conditions. Gumtree is your best option for local wooden cupboard bargains. Don’t use anything from Ikea as they’re mdf and will die in 2 years. Solid is best but plywood and veneer is good for plants in some of those mid century cabinets. plenty of amazing builds if you search. Here’s that thread

stu914
Here's another option... This retro fridge/freezer was going for scrap...cost nothing...already insulated and lightproof, easy conversion and good for one plant.

Slippy One
Few members have added their creations. Everything you need from Danish trays, to secret jardin 6" light baffle air inlets, AC Infinity controllers, DIY LED lights, etc etc. I've had a policeman in the same room as by old ikea cabinet none the wiser.. Silent, smell proof, light proof, every day items that nobody thinks would be a grow box. 100% recommend one for flowering/drying, and 1 for mums or nursery duties. Good luck, tag us if you start a build thread or add to this cupboard porn thread:

And guess what I've had stood in my kitchen, for Years, now? Can't get rid of it, simply because it holds my microwaves up! I'd like to convert it, just for the badness of it! Mind you; Trying to be sneaky would be a bit futile now. I have a Spider Farmer tent also standing there! My stealth bit was when my neighbour walked in and saw it! Him: What's That ?! Me: It's a tent! Him: What are ye gonna Do with it? Me: (Not even a Bead of sweat!) Err ... Breed spiders in it! What else? Look, it Says on it, right there: " Spider Farmer ". Him: (Edging toward the door) O Kaaay .....
