Drying and curing

I need some help on drying and curing seems can’t get it right on 3rd grow 

 

dry them out dry nets 25c once dried put them in jars cure them always open them for 15 mins a day still geting that smell dry grass what Iam doing wrong thanks

Welcome to the boards 

 

 

A lot of us round here tend to go for a nice slow dry.

 

Whole plants chopped at the base of the stalk and hung upside down for between 10 - 14 days.

 

Try to keep temperature around 20C max and RH around 50% if possible.

 

 

Since you’ve removed the buds from the plant and probably(??) removed the majority of the unwanted material,

it will dry a fair bit quicker.

 

How are the buds if you put a bit in a grinder?

 

How does it smoke or vape right now?

 

This will help us gauge how dried they have become.

 

Just out of interest what strain(s) have you just harvested?

 

How smelly were they or it during flowering?

also, ive since found out, its a bit of work, but boy, is it worth it -

select a smelly pheno from  photoperiod varieties. it will have a MUCH better chance of smelling good after a hot flash-dry

its just happened to me

 

I improved my dry game by giving them there own dry tent, extraction on low

Wasn’t much taste mate smelt like grassy smell when smoked no taste Afghan skunk autos

But I hear that the ones by @brock1 in our subbie seeds section(I’m not sure if there’s any left) are meant to be pretty good,

there’s a few folk round here that speak highly of them.

using omega 600w now was lumatek 300w

feed I use growth technology usually use mills 

 

going start chopping her down hang dry see if I can get this right follow ur guide

Ive found grove bags work well (although I haven't tried the jars so can't compare) but I like the fact I don't need to be opening jars every day ect

I was initially planning to use them but around the time of curing I was going away so had to find an alternative - either give the jars to my mum for her to do the burping for me ( she was proper excited ) or go for the grove bags... glad I did because they work great and I doubt il ever use the jars
