Is this coco?

Hi everyone 

 

I picked up a few of these when they was cheap I was wondering if its proper coco 

 

I washed some out untill the water run clear and have some more that's soaking now so I'm just wondering what the right way is to use it

yes but its not very good

get yourself some canna coco pro +, and save lots of grief with madly fluctuating ph etc

I got mine for a fiver a box I ended up getting 6 boxes thinking 1 box should do a complete grow from start to finish but if it's crap I can't be wasting the time and electric on it at the moment 

 

I have a couple of plants in some I flushed out a couple of weeks ago that look like they are re-vegging could that be why?

im starting a proper diary in the coco section now so hopefully i can get some more help from everyone

Another 0.2ec of calmag will put it in the right ballpark to start, then add your nutes. I would just add a and B, a seaweed type additive and ph down for your first grow with it. Get some epsom salts to balance the calcium with magnesium if necessary later.

another tip to rinsing that shit is an old pillowcase,

put coco inside flush boiling water through it, then a bit of cold, squeeze pillow case, water comes out, coco doesnt clog all your drains

 

do this dozens of times and you might get lucky with ph etc,, but if it was me id just buy the pro +

Before putting beans in there, carry out a sample test first to make sure you have buffered correctly, fill up a pot with your coco, run some ec through it, your run off should be the same.

I used the poundland shit its exactly the same just smaller blocks its crap coco but does the job ye just need to really flush the fuck outta it first @badbillybob's tip o the pillowcase is a top one
