Flamedodger
I had a similar problem as you with spider mites and persevered trying to get rid of them, they're finishing up know. I sprayed them, permethrin bombed them in veg and couldn't shift them. They're battered, but I have some decent bud on them. The mites are gone, but the damage was already done before I sorted it. I used Phytoseiulus persimilis predator mites, but only got them 3 weeks into flower. They annihilated them and they eat the eggs. If I'd had them in the cab whilst in veg, who knows, my crop could be so much better. Amblyseius swirskii, Amblyseius andersoni might work for russet mites, but there are parameters. You can't use chemical insecticides, or even neem oil a week or two before introducing them and make sure you get your environment right for them, I had to keep humidity at 70% and temps 25+, it's different for other predators. I'm organic growing in 50l pots btw Edited July 10, 2023 by Flamedodger

LK1
i've had broad mites which are similar to russetts, no point trying to get rid of them from a large plant it's far too difficult. Nasty chemicals like avid and forbid are the only way to kill them.
sn00py
Just get rid of the plants, it isn't worth the hassle - as early as possible, so the colony is not absolutely massive to reduce the chance of reinfection.
