latitude54
I bought a couple of TWIN 2FT LED BATTEN 18W 1650LM 220-240V (can you tell I copy and pasted that from the screwfix site) lights a little while ago for a 60x60x90 propagation tent. They work but I've not been particularly impressed with the light output and think that I really need another couple of the same lights in there. Problem is I only have 2 plug sockets available in that location. This got me wondering if it's safe to wire 2 lights into a single plug? I was tempted just to do it but figured I should ask people who are likely to know more about electrics before I blow myself up. Also, is it worth cutting away the defuser to expose the bare led panel? I've seen it done with other led bulbs so again, thought it'd be worth asking. MindSoup
Yeah mate should be fine to run them all off one plug. 18 watts at 240v is 0.075 Amps, so even all 4 would be fine on a 3amp fuse. Edited April 18, 2023 by MindSoup
