catweazle1 Posted February 8, 2023 Share Posted February 8, 2023 (edited) I would say go for a bar light as you use less energy than a compact high-density led one. If the canopy extends much beyond the boundary of a fixture, then you need to turn it up to provide adequate illumination on the outer fringes, which can lessen/negate your enery savings over HID. This is not my last word on it but it seems that way so far. My three top sources for led technology info is Bruce Bugby videos, Shane at Migro and Adam at ledgrowlights. They tell you how it is.
