Trim jail

@Slippy One Have you tried vac packing? I'm just wondering how they compare really. I don't think the price is too bad if you can use them again.

I hate big jars, they take too much space.

@KCAny vac machine worthy costs a decent sum. Air isn't the enemy and I don't want to squish them, also, what if I just want a single bud? I have to break the vacuum and revac?

Grove bags are ideal for storage long term 3 months + My last grow I used them with a heat sealer, the bags I opened early were no different than had I kept them in mason jar, but the last bag I opened was so good, smell, colour, texture had changed dramatically. That’s my 3 pennies on grove bags :yep:

Just ordered some of these Grove bags to try out, like you lot I hate burping buckets and jars, it’s noisey, time consuming and smelly lol. Seals keep going on my jars at the minute as well so hopefully these bags do the bizz.

Don’t worry Revive, they do 2 pound bags mate :yep:

lol just had 10 half pound ones delivered.. this will be a game changer..ive about 20 jars to burp already and thats bad enough soon to be many more and thats just a ball ache.. new direction needed for sure :yep:

Bit concerned about getting the bud right before it goes in..they say 11% moisture in the stem and you need a meter to know that.. and what about if the stems have been removed and there smaller nugs..its all a bit vague

I bought a heat sealer for my grove bags as I wanted store them under the sink in the kitchen, it is the coolest place in the house. I kept a couple of bags unsealed as I would use them first and sealed the others with 30g in each bag. There is a faint smell from the bags that were unsealed, but you would only notice it if you opened the door to the cupboard. Sealed, their was no smell at all. I like to store my bud on some stem for that 'tomatoes on the vine' feel and they were fine in the grove bags. I did put all the bud in kilners for a few days with mini hygrometers just to check humidity etc.

Like I said earlier, they are spot on for long term storage :yep:

Evening Guerilla’s,

Just on a trimming break, got a nice big pile of buds to go into my new Grove bags and I was thinking.. Do you squeeze the air out before sealing or just seal them up with a bit of air in so the buds can move about? Also is it fine to fill um up to the zip or best leave a bit of room?
