Hi I'm moving over to said system in a couple of months so want to get it all sorted before I take the plunge.

 

What extra items will I need to purchase ?

 

Res tank what size ?

 circulation pump what size 

Chiller which size 

Air pump do I really need 

 

That's all i can think of is there anything else 

 

Already have bluelab truncheon and ph pen

Res tank what size ? 100 litre plastic water butt will do it. 

 circulation pump what size ........Should be one comes with the system no? if not then alien site will have spec for flow of recommended pump, stick with this size. 

Chiller which size .........Hailea hc100 would probably do it

Air pump do I really need...... yes, get something pumping out at least 60 litres a minute

 

That's all i can think of is there anything else use silicone, use absolutely nothing with organic ingredients in it, including most root stims. 

 

Already have bluelab truncheon and ph pen

@badbillybob thanks I think that's everything covered 

For an air pump I have a big blue Hallea silent not sure what size but I bought it years ago when I use to run dwc for a bit so I'm sure it's powerfull enough for 4 pots 

 

Never knew about root stim as no no in rdwc 

 

I use shogun silicon at the moment in coco so will carry on with that
