Been having a browse on diyled. Make sure you get a white led and decent watts pull which is very different to the watts equivalent cheap brand is marshydro I use them and maxibright but they expensive good luck growing

From my understanding your better using the bar led lights if your using 1 stand alone light and the quantum boards are better used if using multiple lights to fill a area

One thing I have yet to understand with led is why most seen to recommend dimming them? Is this to preserve the LEDs or is it just too intense? You don't have the direct radiant heat to worry about, as with HIDs, and as such you can put the fixture 6 inches from the canopy and reduce your leccy bill. The idea, from an economy-perspective, is to get the light as close as possible and as low in consumption as possible. The real money savers are the light fixtures that fully cover your grow area. The least distance a photon has to travel to the canopy, the cheaper will be your leccy cost. You need some kind of quantum meter or luxmeter conversion to do this. There are a few ways to use LEDs...like fix the height and set the intensity, or vary the height and adjust the intensity. Whatever floats your boat, but varying the height and adjusting the intensity is more budget-friendly. The ideal situation, I think is if fixture physically covers the area, then desiring the maximum umols of the fixture becomes less relevant. The further away from the canopy a diode is, the more energy you need to give it to light up an area to the required intensity.
