James new to this Posted June 7, 2022 Share Posted June 7, 2022 Hi all. Just doing a Wilma run with ph perfect advanced nutrients. My second grow. Made my first mix and the ph is 7.2 I’m using coco. I’ve checked the ph and it’s the same as before the nutes went in at 7.2 do I need to take ph down to 6 myself or just leave it thanks James 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
catweazle1 Posted June 7, 2022 Share Posted June 7, 2022 (edited) I think it uses more than one type of each nutrient, which have a slightly different optimal pH, giving it a broader optimal range that it works well. Your water needs to be pretty soft for it to work properly as designed. If your water is soft you don't add a pH adjuster. Just leave it be. It does not move pH any more than any other nutrients. Don't even take a ph reading, chuck the ph meter in the drawer...adjusting ph with these nutes is guaranteed to fuck it up.
