IWS timer flood and drain

Hi guys. New here and my first post. 
  I’ve switched over to a IWS full system. Everything is set up perfect  got a some 3 week old rooted clones in but my question is.

“I don’t need to flood and drain everyday at the minute, maybe every few days. so how do I go about setting the timer for this? Is it a case of buying a digital timer that can have a weekly program and have it turned on the days needed?

You got it, your only option I am aware of would be a digital timer

I used to hand feed from the top for the 1st couple of weeks.

Be careful with young plants in these systems they only flood so high, i used to put the brain bucket on small wooden blocks to raise it so the flood level reaches the bottom of the cubes, if i remember rightly you can set the supplied timer to flood once a day for whatever time you need to flood, or have they changed the timers now, i switched over to nft about 5yrs ago.
