Mac & Crack, Blue Moby, Thunder Banana Auto grow

Morning all, some pics as promised...

They are all growing ok, had some issues last week with some under watering but think I've managed to get on top of that now and all looking good again.

My main concern right now is how tight and compact they are, hoping they stretch out a little bit as all the nodes are really tight. I've had to defoliate quite a lot which I don't like doing with autos but I can't see any other way. I definitely should jave given them LST but that ship sailed so having to use ties to manipulate some of the branches outwards.

The first picture is probably the worst one in terms of tightness...you can see on the leaves that it was kind of just binding up in itself!!!

Showing a wee bit of early hunger signs,

this could be due to environmental factors or feed level.

How are the temp and RH?

If you turn the lights off for a few hours each day,

they should elongate each node :)

Yeah that's what I thought so I've started with 2ml/ltr bloom nutes and looking perky already. They are currently on 20/4 and have been since week 2/3. Do you think upping that to 18/6 may help them stretch  bit more?

Temps are good, sitting about 25 lights on and 20 off, humidity was a little low In the 38's but has steadied off around 45/50%.

Environmentally I think they are now pretty happy so hoping for a smooth few weeks

Had my new led arrived yesterday courtesy of @Ledgrowlights-Adam so many thanks for the prompt delivery.

i went with the omega luna 630w as i think it offers a really good bang for buck at just over 500 quid!! The light is an absokute beast, easy to put together and was up and running in 10-15mins.

All looking good apart from a couple of them looked a tad droopy which I can only imagine is a slight over watering. Clear size difference with the 2 plants in 10ltr pots. But on the whole looking all good...

Haven't had the time to spend properly LDT'ing them so I have just been tucking the big fan leaves under where I can.

Looks like we're well on our way towards flower.

4 weeks this sunday

Ok mate looking good they are tight togher i think you should give plants a dark period no plants grow in 24 hours of light in nature just my opinion also i just bought one of them omega from adam havent put up yet  changing flowering room around its a nice piece of kit let me know how it proforms mate

25 lights on

A tad cold for led in my experience.

If you aim for about 28 degrees I think you'll see them perk up a bit.

E2A: If you can slow your extraction a bit it will raise temps and humidity.

I've read that some growers need to increase the distance between the LED and the plants in order to stop them being too squat :)

How far above are they?

I'd definitely try and increase the temperature a couple of °C,

and keep the RH in check.

Remember,

a good environment can make the difference between survival and thriving :D

It's that DLI thing that caught me out on a 24/7 auto grow I did recently.

Plants were squat and dense as fuck.

E2A: But I suspect it's environment etc. as much as anything on this one.

Thanks for the input, as I've said in previous comments they are getting 4 hours dark every day and have been since week 2/3!!

Will try and get temps up a bit

Here is the latest picture dump!

Have had to defoliate quite a bit (which I know isn't always a good idea with autos) because some of them are so small and bushy!! Certainly seeing some stretch now though.

Nothing major to report to be honest. They are all starting to smell lovely...

Feeding 4ml/ltr intense gro

Temps 28 lights on 21 lights off

Light on full whack at 660w

Humidity 50-60%

Thunder banana

Mac and crack

Blue moby...she's small

large.20220507_095535.jpg

Another thunder banana I believe but in an 8ltr

Another photo dump for you all! some of them are looking a little hungry so I’m going to up the feeding to 4ml/ltr for the next few days and see how they react.

all looking good…just so small and compact. I don’t like to defoliate autos but I’ve had no choice with these.

Had to pull one out earlier this week as it had mould on the top bud, it was a blue moby. To be honest, the way they are structured I was expecting it.

luckily I caught it early and despite there not being an awful lot of it, the buds are very firm and look pretty good. Could have probably done with another week/10 days.

going to bring the rest down on Thursday as I’d rather take them early than lose the whole lot to mould.

Unfortunately, the blue moby are all so small and compact they have no way of breathing or getting any airflow in!
