BluePeter Posted February 16, 2023 Share Posted February 16, 2023 I bought this compost and today I opened a bag of 50l and added 25l of coco. When I opened the bag of compost, it smells like manure and it was wet and clumped together in an almost clay like state which instantly got me worried I decided to break the coco up by hand instead of adding water as I wanted it dry to mix better with the wet compost I mixed it all and it looked great, after removing some twigs and stones the size of my thumb , I put in all my starter pots I run water through all the pots little by little, draining them and watering them again and again. I noticed that after they were drained and sat for a while , there was a colour that looked like the colour you get when normal mud gets wet, if you get what I mean. There was also a few that wouldn’t drain so I had to use a screwdriver to scoop it around Ive broken down more coco and put the soaked pots in my tent with extraction on and once it’s dry I will mix it with more coco again to make it more airy I’m gutted as I bought 10 bags of it for my outdoor plot I will use it in my holes and mix it with the ground soil and loads of mulch just to not waste it. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
