Gaijin
Morning all So there's name brand rope ratchet hangers at up to a tenner a pair (albeit with a discount applied at checkout, but still around £9) and then there's packs of 6 pairs on that big river site that work out at about £4 a pair. Could the name brand hangers really be "double the price" better?
Clubs
I've only ever gone for the cheapest ones and never had any issues. They're designed to take more weight than we use for our purposes anyway.
KC
Most lights will come with them anyway. OK the ones that came with mine were broken but I assume that's not normal
Exhale
As long as the mechanism on them is fine and locks like it should (test it by pulling on the rope). Last thing you want is an expensive light going crash bang wallop.
Kush Lover
I've had the same sets of ratchet hangers for the past 6 years and they are going strong, for the last 2 years they have been holding up a Gavita 750e which is a heavy old beast as the ballast is attached to the lamp. These were of the auction site as cheap as I could find them and no problems at all. Hope I haven't just jinxed it though.
Gaijin
All I can picture is all that fairly fragile money hanging there Knowing me I’ll probably double them up anyway. I wasn’t sure it it was a matter of metal or plastic “inside bits” or some special types of “rope”. thanks for your replies
