ThirdMan2
Hello All I've seen these strips SL-B8R2N70LAWW Which will fit nicely in the grow fridge. I can only find 5000k and 3000k. I calculate them to be 26w each. I'm looking to make a mother and clone fridge so I'm thinking 4000k would be ideal to keep any stretch to a minimum. Would one 5000k and one 3000k strip providing 52w be a good colour for this purpose?
v12xjs
Light has different properties at every wavelength and that's probably to do with the energy delivered by each photon. A photon of 6500k blue light has about 2.5 times more energy than a photon of 2700k red. Plants that get the higher energy tend to stretch much less. Daytime sunlight is around 5500k. So if you are looking to restrict upward growth with those lights then go with 2 x 5000k.
