charlieh
I have 3 chroinic plants growing in my conservatory, I am going on holiday to turkey for 2 weeks at the end of august. I am not going to be able to find anyone to water my plants so; Q1 How long can cannabis plants go without water? Q2 Is there any device I can create to water my plants when I am not there? Thanks
Guest lazlo woodbine
I would use my old fav. - capillary matting. Buy a 2-3 metre length - place your plants on it.... run one end into a planter/trough/res. make sure the mat is soaked, (black plastic as an underlay would be a good idea too!).... depending on the size of your res this should last for a week or 2... sittingrelaxing
Q1 How long can cannabis plants go without water? that depends on how big your plant/root system is, and also how hot or cold the condictions are, but generally they drink alot of water. I would use my old fav. - capillary matting. same here.... does your bathroom get plenty of sun, c ?? clean a towel of any condictioner/cleaning residue, then place some bricks in the bath and cover with the towel. put an inch of water in the bath and then put your plants, on the raised platforms(bricks). your plants will drink as they need it... have a nice holiday bud..... Guest lazlo woodbine
This is very useful but as I am a newbie at growing I don't really understand,Could you explain it in a really simple way? 372217[/snapback] I'll try..... Capillary matting can be bought from any garden centre and it's not too expensive... Lay down some plastic 1st then lay the matting on top (its like a green carpet runner - long & narrow..) One end of the matting should be sitting in a trough of water..... a plastic window box is ideal... soak the matting...place your pots on top and off you go.... the matting will draw the water from the res. and the plants will soak it up thro' the pots - How long you can leave them will depend on how big your trough is. do a trial run and work out what you will need to keep your girls happy for a week or two.. Hope this helps.... Laz
charlieh
Thanks alot, That was explained well cheers. Il do the test and see how it goes, Btw If the plants are deficiant of water what are the visible signs?
HvyFuel
The soil's dry and your plant's dead. What was hard about sr's advice? "clean a towel" it'll soak up the water from the bath as well as matting you'll have to buy.
