Diddy
How can I stabilise a pre mixed feed ? I am very early veg and im off for 7 days so babies will need at least 1 feed if not two during my absence. Now im not concerned that the nute strength goes down slightly - I am concerned that the PH goes over 6.3 within a few days in my area anyway. There is zero chance of my misses handling PH down. Is there a way to stabilize the ph for a few days ? I might just go ahead and make a feed up at say 5.0 "knowing that in 5 days it will be in the "zone" any thoughts ? BushDoctoR
I wouldnt worry too much, coco has great buffering qualities. Lots of folk here with hardwater don't use any pH down at all! In my RTW system I usually mix up at 5.7 and over the course of a week it slowly climbs to around 6.3-6.5 and stops. I refill my tank every 1-2 weeks once its emptied and make no adjustments after the initial fill. My recirculating system in my veg cab can swing a fair bit more if I don't check it for ages (I'm talking 2-3 weeks if I'm super busy/lazy) but I've been as high as 7s and low as 4s in the past and not noticed any issues. Coco is very forgiving with pH, it's high EC that is the one to watch out for
