OneMorePuff
I'm planning a coco/perlite hempy run using 5l pots. It'll be a pheno hunt with reg seeds so I don't want the pots too large as I don't know how many plants I'll be flowering out in my 4x4. I'm thinking about using these 5l plastic jerry cans - Obviously I'd need to cut the top off so it's flush, and put some duct tape round the outside to block the light, but I like that their tall narrow size means I can get them in really close together side by side under the T5 for vegging. Plus I'm cheap so 16 for £20 is attractive, especially as the the ones I don't use as hempy buckets I can use for mixing up nutes, storing RO water, that kind of thing. I'm assuming the tall narrow size isn't an issue for hempy buckets, as I see people doing them in 2l bottle and getting good results? I guess I'd just start them in a small starter pot of coco/perlite or root riots, and then once they're rooted out, straight into the 5l hempys so the roots can start working their way down to the res?
