charlieh
Hi people, I have just been given week old plants that had been grown indoors, I have placed them in a south faced conservatory. I need to know if this will be suitable to grow in? How many hours of direct sunlight do the plants need? How much water? and anything else I need to know would be very helpful. Thank you

widget
Hi people, I have just been given week old plants that had been grown indoors, I have placed them in a south faced conservatory. I need to know if this will be suitable to grow in? How many hours of direct sunlight do the plants need? How much water? and anything else I need to know would be very helpful. Thank you Yes it could well be suitable. It's not an ideal time of year for a grow, but nevertheless I'm sure you can get some sort of results, just don't expect a great yield. Certainly I would give it a go, rather than chuck away healthy plants. If they've been grown indoors they may not like the cold temps (depends if your conservertory has heating of course). If it is cold in there start by putting them out for a few hours and then taking them back in then gradually increase the period of time they are out there. Do this over a period of a few days. At this time of year a word of warning - freezing temperatures will eventually kill a plant. If it's warm then you shouldn't have too much trouble. Watch out for too much moisture in the air as that can cause mold and condensation on the windows can cause the plants to burn when the sun comes out if they touch it and get wet. Read as much as you can about growing, and good luck.
widget
erm... well done to cammie for being the first one to pick up on my little trick 'resurrect a many month old thread post'. Thank you for the pm, a very quick response time, just making sure you're all on the ball thats all. Actually I don't think I'm even near the ball let alone on it, I fell off a long time ago.... Anyway maybe my post up there will be useful for future reference so to speak.
