I'm experimenting with mycorrhizal fungi at the moment, I selected two almost identical cuttings and inoculated one of them and then treated them as similarly as possible. At the moment they are growing pretty much identically except that the one with mycorrhizae has a stem that is about twice the diameter of the one without.

I measured the stems today, they are currently 5mm and 8mm diameter which doesn't sound like a huge difference but the cross sectional area is more than double!
