Dirk-Diggler
I am building a frame and have some pvc joints and pvc poles to go in them. Problem is the poles are 32mm and the joints are 30mm, so I need to shave off some of the poles. I guess if I had a lathe or similar it would be simple but I dont. Anyone got any ideas on how it can be done effectively with standard DIY equipment? Thanks!
badbillybob
get your grinder out and saw cut the ends of the 32mm poles both sides, a bit of insulation tape to hold them together, and force them into the 30s is about all i can come up with, apart from stating the obvious and saying get the right size connectors.
Dirk-Diggler
Thanks @badbillybob Do you think I might be able to get away with using a heat gun on the joint then forcing the pole in?
Arthur Mix
Cut two slits in the end of pipe so looking down it’s + or x that may help you may need to fiddle a bit.
