LED suitability

hello good folk.

Im thinking of having a go at building a diy led.Im not looking for any red/far red/uv lighting just plain old 3000K or 3500K.im also not looking at the absolute newest tech,I have already have a DIYLED V1 750W scope kit,and very nice it is,and Im looking at the possibility of adding a few more watts of the same flavour

My first question is,after searching around the forums, im leaning towards the

SL-B8V4N90LAWW

 strips.Are these a good choice?

And ff these are decent, does anybody have any experience ordering direct from china, the price from the likes of arrow/digikey are about £20 ish, which is good price, but there seem to be quite a few direct from china (components-store.com and i-components.com,which were the first I pulled off a google search) which are available for about £7-8 which is a massive saving even when including any taxes and shipping. Is that price "too good to be true" or since it is older tech, about right.

thanks
