That ogkz looks good 

 

I've got a few mwf's that are short and bushy, was tempted to take the cages off too.. haven't had the balls yet, pretty sure a rabbit would be chewing on it before I left the plot

I would chop lower branch’s off to encourage the top to grow more instead of going wide.

i know right the ogkz is the biggest girl so far on that plot but she’s in a bag instead of a hole so might be something there

The ground was very clay based which seems to be a running theme around my parts

 

and well I have had a little luck to be honest.

So when I first dropped off the rgsc autos I didn’t have enough cage left for one, so it was left vulnerable for about a week,

came back with more cage and boom it was still there, not a single nibble (I was quite surprised to be honest) 

so hopefully the same works here

otherwise I’ll be down a runt

But I’m not sure as it’s struggled growing that much foliage

think it might keel over if i take her skirt off

so far I’ve done the “if their green and up right leave em be” approach

working so far

hopefully it continues

Back again for another update 

Growth is just on a steady pace 

had the fast OGKZ show some lovely pink pistils

really looking forward to her colours

the mango is just struggling as always

i will give her another run next year 

hopefully get a better pheno

this one seems to want to hide 

hopefully she gives off some amazing buds

also the mango runt managed to survive with her cage off so hopefully this continues

Back again for another update

mould patrol 

always a disheartening journey to make

Fast flowering OGKZ is struggling unfortunately 

put a post on sick plants but she seems to have some bad stem rot on her lower stem which seems to be affecting the entire plant

worst part

shes just started flowering

found loads of mouldy calyx’s on the main stem

removed most inside bud sites and dying leaves

so close to just culling her but couldn’t bring myself to do it

just hoping I can get her over the finish line now

well here she is

Back again to clean the rotting stem

took a lighter

some medikill wipes

70 proof alcohol antibacterial

and a shit load of hope

My biggest regret this season is not doing more! I got some real champions and part of me is like if only I had 10 or 20

So went back after the extensive clean on this ladies stem and well it looks like it’s clearing up 

hopefully she can make it to the end now

Well here’s the lovely lady Fast flowering OGKZ

Gave her a little LST to hopefully increase airflow

she is a lovely lady so far though

very Christmas tree in shape

not like her runty cousin

mango sapphire

started flowering

but has tiny little bud sites

no mould so hopefully this continues

it’s going to be fun to see her continue to push on

@Henroid be vigilant with the bud rot checks and you'll get over the finish line 

 

Bud/stem rot is just one peril of outdoor growing 

 

Let's hope for some warmer weather and not so much rain

more cleaning done today just to keep it clear and healthy 

Fast OGKZ seems to be definitely in flower now, I would guess she’s 2 weeks in max so another 5-6 to go, hopefully 

well here she is 

 

Oh and her runty sis mango sapphire 

well into flower now 

Not completely sure when she started but it was a while ago

I hate rabbits with a passion, they have taken the bottoms off most plants but the entire bottom half of the poor mango runt luckily the Fast OGKZ was still caged so no damage to her
