If you have how safe is it to run how many watts trough. Is ther a limit you would stop at . How much weight can I put up ther.ie 9 20l pots wet. Plus equipment. I extended the ring main from a double socket not a switch. A friend of mine is a spark and is going to come round and check it all for me so until i know what I've done is okay i dont want to be giving electrical advice! In regards to weight, it depends on your joists. 9 x 20L pots is not that much though. I wouldve thought that would be fine as long as you've got some decent boards on top of the joists. 9 hours ago, Joint hogger said: Welcome back Bushdoctor & nice bit of work. tho I did notice something you might not have considered it, its not a good idea to have your cables tied up the way they are as they can over heat, especially as the ballast runs at 660w (10% running power factor) & pulls more watts at start up so a bunched up cable isnt ideal. I had a similar problem with my set up & I simply chopped a good bit of the ballasts power lead & put on a new plug. This has crossed my mind as it goes. I feel them now a then and they dont seem to get hot but it's still not worth the risk. Will get that done tonight! Thanks for pointing it out! Have got a few more bits completed now, will try get some pics up later

GG88
Loving this build, still toying with the idea of losing the tent and doing a proper build like you got
BushDoctoR
Few more updates.... Shot of the run off catchment tank. The tank holds around 30-40L. The container on the left is used as storage, but I'm considering putting an overflow from the catchment tank to the storage container in case of mishaps, will hopefully never be used but helps contain a fair amount of liquid if a mishap happens with the timer. Little shot of one of the drippers gently doing its thing Cables for the case fans now tidied up. You can see in the photo how I set up my rope ratchets so they are both easily accessible from just inside the door of the groom. It was difficult learning in to get to the back one, this makes things much easier. Light is hung the same. Couple of plant shots. I think they were about a week into flower here
BushDoctoR
Spare reflector installed into mum box with 125w CFL. They were getting chilly in here prior to this, the 125 keeps them between 20-24°c so stays on 24/7 Another shot of flower and mum box side by side. Can see the roof slightly better here. The HPS is very orange as I turned it down to 250w while I was working on the fans. Annoyingly I had forgotten about this and it stayed like that for 3 days As I expected they were stretching far too much and I was rapidly losing headroom. Installed a heat spreader to help with this. Another issue with the stretching is that the plants kept growing into the fans. I got an old pair of fishnets from the missus and used them to make grills. They actually work surprisingly well! More to follow...

BushDoctoR
After 2 weeks of 12/12 my light was as high as it could go and my sat dom plants were still reaching for the sky. At around 2.5 weeks I had some colas shooting past the reflector and one actually touching the ceiling. Something drastic needed to be done! I had to carefully untangle the plants and partially disassemble the dripper system to remove the ones at the front so I could get to the back. I then created a grid using twist tie cable and set to work tieing everything down. Several painstaking hours and a fair amount of snapped branches later I'd managed to bring the top of the canopy down by about 6"-8". Here it is straight after. They were looking a bit sad and uncomfortable due to the intense training session, but soon looked quite happy again once the leaves and branches had adjust to their new positions (pics to come) Added another 2 x 140mm fans to help move the hot air from the bulb as my other fans were now pretty obstructed
BushDoctoR
2.5 weeks into flower One of several snapped branches repaired with airline and twist tie. I made a drawing noting the positions of the splints as I'll need to remove these once they have healed and they wont be easy to find! Another 4 x 140mm fans positioned below the canopy helping to push air through. I'm a huge fan of case fans. They are gentle enough to blow directly on plants at close range, are compact and versatile, extremely quiet and only a couple of quid each. I have a total of 12 in the flower chamber now and they are still whisper quiet. Edited January 21, 2020 by BushDoctoR
BushDoctoR
Bit of an update. Built a mini flood and drain system quite a while back to feed the baby's and mums. Tray is just a garland drilled to suit f&d fittings. Tank is a 25L bin that fits snugly next to the main tank. Been in use for a few months now, works a charm

KC
You've done a great job with that loft man. Gotta be keeping her indoors ok with it all tucked away up there

I know this is not an easy task, as I have attempted and failed to do something similar, give yourself a pat on the back and thanks for the share and useful information. Thanks man! The space is currently plant less while I'm waiting on some new cuttings. Had a bit of a mare with my mother during the heatwave. Ended up turning the fans off in the veg box for a few days and completely cooked and starved her of air during the hottest time of the year, temps went up into the 40s and she was not happy! Ended up binning her and then had a nightmare sourcing new cuts. Sorted now though, got some GG#4 and Rainbow Beltz on the way. Going to make use of the space being free to make some changes and also gives me a chance to properly empty the room and give a thorough clean of everything. Will update once ive done the work
