rot or not ??

firstly sorry for the shite pick two days ago while triming of some dodgey leaves on my purkle i skimmed off a small head on one of the side branches.  Since then, i have notice a browning of this said stem and some on the small bud on the left hand side is this rot ?? If so what should i do about a cut the whole steam of and hope it doesnt spread or B just cut of the worst infected area ?? Thanks in advance

Could be the start of stem rot. I had a similar issue after snapping a branch. It started growing browny grey peach fuzz.

I just cut it back further down the stem and removed any close leafage and hope for the best.

Stem rot can be treated I believe but probably not worth the effort as the spores would quickly spread imo.

Then again it might be something else.

Thats what I did. Not worth the risk of it spreading.

I guess its only a very small effected area right?

Yeh looks like it , i do just the infected areas . Worth checking daily now !
