platinumbud Posted June 8, 2018 Share Posted June 8, 2018 I urgently need a heatsink or aluminium sheet for 2 hlg v2 288 quantum boards of around 300mm x 500mm , I was told that I can use aluminium sheets rather than a heatsink of 0.8 mm thick but I’m also not sure about the thermal resistance needed but I believe it could be 0.31 ? tokenroll Posted June 8, 2018 Share Posted June 8, 2018 check ebay for the guys selling the QB's on there, you really should of ordered heatsinks with the boards. You will need the proper heatsink at anything over 85 or so watts per board. They do get hot when ran hard. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
platinumbud Posted June 8, 2018 Author Share Posted June 8, 2018 I ordered one kit that came with a heatsink and I bought 2 extra boards and from a uk eBay a extra driver 240h c2100a £77, all the sellers of these kits seem to want you to buy the long heatsink I bought one with the xw kit that’s 50cm x 32cm so the boards sit in more of a square, the reason being for myself is 1 plant per kit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
