Community Ideas For Start and Finish Times (Pot Noodle Challenge)

Hello all 

 

I'm just figuring out the 

 

2018 HSO Pot Noodle Challenge!

 

I've got most of the details down like strain 

 

Which will be "Bubbas gift"

 

Now I need a bit of community feedback for start and finish times

 

I was thinking is we get seeds out asap and they land by

 

Early May. 

 

If we say all diaries must be started by

 

July 31st 2018 that will give 3 months so all who want to play have time to finish of current projects. 

 

Diarys can be started as soon as you want but must be started by 31st July 2018

 

Then if we say diarys must be completed by the 1st December 2018.

 

That would give August-November if you chose to start at the very latest date which is plenty of time imo?

 

And May-December if you started immediately. 

 

Also would the communitywant to grow just 

 

1 plant or say 3 at a maximum?

 

Get you feedback, questions and advice in people then we can get this fun started

Nice idea Mark . Sounds like fun .

Folks have done similar diaries ,a few years back .A pot noodle is pretty small !

Yeah that seems like a good plan , the only thing I would alter is the 'finish line' .. I would say all diaries must be finished by 2019 (or end of 2018) .. because , some people find summer growing difficult , and we may have a long autumn this year .. I mean , for me the best growing time is from Sept / Oct .. so 3 months hence ...

Great strain choice.. 48 day flowering time am i reading that right

 

I think 2 attempts in enough imo but hey 3 is cool and enough time in the deadline to maybe spread 3 apart

This would make a cool RUNNING COMP. set start dates throughout the year, each time a different strain. People can plan ahead and catch the next one the potnoodle train comp

@JamJar As we will be supplying 3 seeds you'll have 3 plants maximum. Or should we just do 1 plant?

@Dinafem-Mark il only ever be able to pop 1 at a time because of space and cycle times i have a strain diary prebooked

i would say 1 plant would count but with 3 you can choose your best for final judgement

i think one plant only ...shit or bust ..adds an element of knock out to the comp.

I'm leaning more towards 3 seeds each member and if you want to grow 

 

1-2 or 3 that wound be the members choice and then could show the best?

2- Biggest yield 

3- Best looking plant/bud shots
