wifi troubles

Still fucked, new ethernet cable, borrowed a more up to date lap top tried to connect with that, same bullshit with the wired client or wifi connection 100Mbps but actually only getting 54Mbps making the internet all but unuseable, two sites I can get on are this one and FB, streaming content non existant,

everything slow, getting close to turning it all off and telling Virgin to stuff it up their incompetent hole.

My advice with Virgin is to switch their crippled router into modem-only mode, and plug a decent router into it to provide WiFi.

 

It's about 2 on a 0-10 techhead scale, if you can use another device to access the internet for instructions while you're doing it.

I have had a fair bit of success from just rebooting virgin routers.  They seem to get quite confused.

 

Superhub2 has an on-off switch on the lower corner.
