InstaGROW
Hello guys haven't been on here in a while still growing the odd time well trying to just haven't mastered it yet but on to what this forum is about so from January my son 19 months old has started taking Epileptic Seizures of which he has 2 diffrent types of Seizures Absense and left sided focal tonic clonic Seizures currently he is on 5Mg of Clobazam 140Mg of Carbamazepine this amount sort of stops the FTC Seizures they still come but not serious enough to give rescues medicine but serious enough were he sleeps for 1-2 hours after now the absense Seizures are a daily occurrence were he just drops and stares blankly for a minute sometimes up to 10-20 times a day and it's even worse if there's an infection present as Seizure threshold drops when there's something making him sick Although the Meds are helping abit but personally is not good as it makes him constantly drozzy and drooling which isn't nice to see espically for a child who should be playing and learning in life now I know people can't give me medical advice but I have a few questions if any of the questions aren't suitable I will remove them or just don't answer them I will be consulting with his doctors and consultant about this if I can get enough information on it as I would much prefer to start lowering the Meds and giving a more natural medicince so has and any one on here used or know someone who has used CBD Oils for epilepsy on children? if so what Oils were they? (Brands i.e only one I can see for sale in U.K. That keeps poping up Is Charlottes Web) is CBD oil legal in the uK? If not legal is there any oil that's available to order to U.K. Despite the law? (I respect the law but when it comes to this a knock on the door wouldn't bother me) is there any cannabis strains that's high in CBD but low in THC as more likely if oil is not legal it won't always be available so could have to start looking at growing and turning into oil? Thanks in advance for any help is giving Edited March 14, 2017 by InstaGROW
Wiggles41
They sell it in Holland and Barrat so it must be legal to an extent. That's all I know, sorry. Good luck.

Bird
CBD brothers have quite a good rep for cbd. Try sp@mazon. e2: interesting. I cant find them listed there (they were only recently) , but the sellers website says they are available there and sells them direct anyway. noddy
@InstaGROW i have respect for the fact you want to help your child but please talk to some one with medical knowledge before trying this on your son ,see i have many many health issues but have found a great dr now and he understands (this is gp) the hospital specialist are not so easy going on me . Try and find some one that uses or has used it and also try and talk to the epileptic society ,also you may find that plain CBD opil may do nothing as i have read a lot of CBD oil and a fair number say there has to be a small amount of THC to allow the CBD to become active how true this is i don't know as i am not a chemical person . Good luck with helping your son and if you do decide to grow you could always do a small wardrobe grow like i do 2 plants at a time of the high CBD strains and refine it yourself . I am still learning on refining and i want to try more oil infused products. stay safe grow well
indicatoker420
It seems like its legal it just depends if you can find a decent place to buy i think. I'd say go for it if you can get some good stuff, obviously just start small. Good luck mate I have epilepsy, my first absence was on my 8th birthday. Eventually a grade 1 tumour was found and removed in 2009 (I was16 then). 24 now and have partials and a few grand mal, the grand mals seem to be more likely to happen in the warm months for me ime Edited March 15, 2017 by indicatoker420
Bird
I believe that someone on the site recently clarified the position with regard to selling CBD oils in the UK for me. It is legal for registered sellers to sell it but not unregistered ones afair. So not for anyone, but for the larger sellers who have some kind of .gov registration/approval. Thanks for this yeah trying to find a trusted reseller is hard as some might be scams or send something containing no CBD at all but I seen a reseller of Charlottes web (300,500,5000) it's a uk site been going some time selling all types of CBD so could possibly look into this 12 hours ago, noddy said: @InstaGROW i have respect for the fact you want to help your child but please talk to some one with medical knowledge before trying this on your son ,see i have many many health issues but have found a great dr now and he understands (this is gp) the hospital specialist are not so easy going on me . Bird
@InstaGROW I did look for the post at the time without success but I do have problems with text. It may have been a thread about hemp tea buds because there have been a couple of those. If it is CBD Brothers stuff you are looking for, I was referring to their own website above. I don't know where it is based but it seems to have stock and it's priced up in pounds. They appear to be reliable and have a good reputation, but beyond that I know little about them. I have seen them recommended on the forum before by members who use their products for less serious problems. Thanks in advance for any help is giving I recently came across this blog post. I don't know much about epilepsy in children. but I found this to be an extremely interesting read. Maybe it can help you - http://complexchild.org/articles/2016-articles/november/epilepsy-cbd-oil/. Where are you based? I am in the North West and know of a few health food shops that sell CBD if you need any recommendations.
doobie01
Some point soon cbd oil will be classed as medicinal product and will be prescription based I think
