spikeychops
I have always gone with a 10% (approx of course) mix of perlite, compost (60%) and Coco (30%) in my grows. All ratios are approximate, and the % isn't critical or anything. I use this all over my garden, not just the cannabis. Works for me, always has done. Roots have an easier time of it, they can snake through the mix easier, as the compost doesn't clump together so much with the perlite. Don't use vermiculite anymore, as it's only really useful for holding onto moisture and nutes if you don't have a reservoir and some active or passive watering system, which i have.
